What You Can Do
I recommend some practical steps to adapt your SEO strategy for the future:
Create a test list of 50 keywords. Even with the US focus, analyze how your niche content performs in AI.
Focus on queries in positions 3-10. The "quick win" logic from Google applies here too.
Restructure your content. Especially long, informative, and authoritative content becomes more visible in ChatGPT.
Pay attention to citations and sources. ChatGPT highlights reliability in content it references.
Try "prompt" optimization. While not fully integrated yet, analyses based on real user queries will be possible in the near future.
Risks and Opportunities of This Development
Risk: This system is still in beta and limited to US data. Direct application for Turkey-based projects may be limited for now.
Opportunity: The increased visibility of content created with long-tail, low-competition keywords creates an enormous opportunity for small and niche sites. We might call it a "democratization of search results."
Moreover, with large brands not yet fully optimized in this area, first movers will capture the advantage. This is truly a "first mover" advantage.

However, considering concerns that Google's AI Overviews feature is reducing web traffic, this step may increase the risk of visibility loss for brands and content creators. OpenAI, recognizing how much users love the deep research feature, has deployed a lighter version to increase usage limits for Plus, Team, and Pro users. Moreover, Free users will now also have access to this lighter deep research version. Currently, Plus, Team, and Pro users have expanded usage rights, while Enterprise and Edu users will gain the same level of access next week. The lighter deep research feature has begun rolling out gradually to Free users starting today.
