How to Use ChatGPT for SEO and Content Marketing (Examples and Use Cases)

Creative examples of how ChatGPT can be used for SEO and Content Production are starting to emerge.

We are going through an exciting period where we are witnessing the use of ChatGPT in SEO studies, from creating a meta description or Image Alt Text to creating the outline of a blog post.

Before using ChatGPT in SEO and content production, it is a good idea to keep this information in the back of your mind that I published in last week's newsletter. Unfortunately, in its current form, we cannot be entirely sure of the reliability and expertise of the data provided by ChatGPT. Therefore, it doesn't seem like a good idea to place an article produced by ChatGPT on the site as it is.

It is helpful to think of ChatGPT as a brilliant friend who brings you ideas you have never thought of before through mutual dialogue. However, it would be best to consider that friends could make mistakes.

The dialogic nature of ChatGPT provides the opportunity to use it in exciting ways. For example, when you say to create a video scenario to shoot a YouTube video on the "customer experience journey," it can even make it.

SEO tools also seem to keep up with this new trend. For example, the InLinks tool has already started integrating ChatGPT:

Task: Integrate ChatGPT into InLinks.... ✅ Bonus Points: 8 languages... ✅ Get Friends to Share: ...Task Outstanding... (Please share) Here's what it does. I… | 10 comments on LinkedIn

As I mentioned at the beginning, seeing the tool as a brilliant friend that saves you time and supports your creative production process instead of using its outputs directly is helpful.

At least, that's how it is for now. However, the GPT4 version is expected to arrive soon, and this version may offer us many more options. In a process where everyone has the same opportunities, those who use GPT4 creatively will make a difference.

Commands We Should Use When Using ChatGPT

ChatGPT may be like a brilliant friend who does an excellent job with dialogue, but still, using a specific format when asking him a question can help our friend understand us better. For example, the following templates will allow the tool to produce better results.

"Write a comprehensive guide on [topic]."

"Create an in-depth analysis of [topic]."

"Detail the benefits of [Subject]."

"Describe the history of [topic] and its impact on [area]."

"The text is long, but I didn't like the repetitive writing style." (feedback)

The following is an excellent summary of the template expressions you should use when using the writing tool:

Google Management 'Releases Code Red' Due to ChatGPT's Impact on Search Engine Business

With ChatGPT being promoted as a Google alternative, Google senior management declared a state of emergency.

Google management has reportedly issued a "code red" for the company's search engine business following the launch of ChatGPT, the experimental chatbot created by artificial intelligence research lab OpenAI.

Since its release, the AI chatbot has sparked widespread speculation that it could potentially revolutionize various industries and even replace tools like Google's search engine with its ability to understand a range of queries and generate human-like responses.

As The New York Times reported on Wednesday, artificial intelligence experts stated that the bot still has many aspects of being developed. At the same time, Google management declared "code red" after the launch.

SEO and Google Algorithm Predictions for 2023 from SEO Experts

SEO experts continue to share their 2023 predictions.

I wanted to summarize your SEO predictions for 2023, published in the Search Engine Journal.

Prediction #1: Google's Updates Will Continue at Full Throttle

This year, possibly 2023, is essential because the time between algorithm updates is getting shorter, and they're rolling out one after the other.

Google will continue to test new features and result types. What does it mean? More algorithm changes will occur in less time, which means more ranking fluctuations.

If you made a ranking-based commitment while shaking hands with your customers, 2023 could be a challenging year.

Prediction #2: Image Search Will Become More Featured

Generation Z is turning to TikTok and Instagram for their search needs and using Google less and less. Google is updating itself to keep up with that.

Younger generations connect better with visuals because it gives them a better experience. That's why Google now uses more images in searches.

You should care more about your images than ever before. As a result, you should produce video content.

Prediction #3: More Companies Will Take Technical SEO Seriously

Google wants to provide an excellent user experience, so ensuring your site is good at the technical SEO level becomes more critical.

Many companies now know that the solution is to move towards an "always on" mindset by setting up a system where your site is constantly monitored.

Google Helpful Content and Link Spam Updates Continue to Create Turbulence in Rankings

These two consecutive updates continue to cause severe fluctuations in the rankings worldwide. We need to wait for this process to finish with breathing exercises.

As you know, December 2022 helpful content update and SPAM backlink update are currently rolling out. Unfortunately, the helpful content update needs more time to do its job correctly. Looking back over the past few weeks, we see that Google Search results have been volatile.

Here's what the ranking tracking tools have shown regarding volatility over the past few weeks. As you can see, it's been quite a turbulent time in Google Search results and will continue for a while. Google is not leaving us alone this Christmas :)

As you know, the December 2022 helpful content update and the link spam update are rolling out now. In fact, it seems like the helpful content update needs more time to do its thing. Taking a look at the past few weeks, the Google Search results, it has been pretty volatile.

What Is the Risk in Focusing on Competitors' SEO Strategies?

Learn from competitors' mistakes and use your time to build a better website.

Suppose your company is overly focused on what your competitors and industry leaders are doing. In that case, you don't have time to create a better user experience for your site and a better solution for search engine queries.

Always Track What The Leader Is Doing And Which Your Competitors Are Imitating

When you know what the leader is doing and who is following the leader, you can see trends and patterns as they fall and win. This gives you an idea of what works and what doesn't.

Once you understand whether it makes sense to try something, you have time to learn by watching others make mistakes and can use that time to build a better overall website.

If I see a mistake in customer dialogs in my SEO projects, they analyze it without considering the competitor's brand power. For example, your competitor may have a powerful brand and a corresponding significant monthly brand search. We can say that such brands generally see SEO as secondary importance. Imitating such a competitor as your example may mislead you.

Learn by watching competitor mistakes and use the time to create a better website overall. Here's how you can outshine them.

How Does Google Autocomplete Work?

Here's what you need to know about Google Autocomplete.

When you go to the Google homepage, you probably know what to type in the search box to check the weather, search for a business or service, or find out how you know this actor. (“Unless you feel lucky,” of course).

Enter a word or a single letter, and Google populates the search box with a list of "predictions" before you even finish typing. This feature of Google is called Autocomplete.

But what exactly is it? How does Google find these estimates? You can read the post below to learn how Google Autocomplete works.

Here's what you need to know about Google Autocomplete, how it generates predictions, and why it has moved away from making "suggestions."

What is EEAT? — Dr. Marie Haynes

Google's John Mueller: WordPress Is Not a Better Option for SEO

Google Search Advocate John Mueller says WordPress is no better for SEO than coding a website from scratch.

Google's John Mueller said in response to a thread on Reddit that there is no SEO advantage to choosing WordPress compared to coding a website.

According to Mueller, WordPress's critical advantage is the ease of use compared to writing code by hand. However, this is only advantageous for the website owner. Having a website designed with WordPress makes no difference to Google.

This question comes up often and is worth revisiting, given the misinformation floating around WordPress and SEO.

Take, for example, the second-most-voted comment in the Reddit thread, just below Mueller's.

One person claims that "Google knows WordPress well" and that Googlebot can crawl WordPress sites more efficiently than other CMSs. While this is false, the myth that WordPress is better for SEO persists.

Google Search Feature in Video Being Tested in India

Google has announced that they have started testing a search feature that will allow you to first search for text within the video in India.

In this announcement, Google says, “We're testing out the ability to search within videos in your phone's Search app. Type your query using the 'Search within video' feature and find exactly what you're looking for.”

As a YouTube channel owner, I am excited about this new development. It looks like video will be another occasion to produce content.

Google announced in India yesterday that they are testing a search feature to allow you to search text within video. This isn't a huge stretch from key moments but it is neat to see you being able to search the words spoken in a video.

Book Of The Week: The Lean Startup: How Today's Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses - Eric Ries

Eric Ries, who established the Lean Startup philosophy by applying lean production and management principles to the world of entrepreneurship, thus rewrote the book of entrepreneurship.

Ries defines a startup as a group of people or structures dedicated to creating something new in a highly uncertain environment.

The focus could be a group of young people working hard at a student residence or seasoned professionals in the boardroom of a star company. In this sense, the common point of entrepreneurs is that they try to find a successful way to a sustainable business by diving into the fog of uncertainty.

This book advises entrepreneurs at every stage to adopt a way to continually test their vision and act on it before it's too late. It offers a scientific method for launching successful startups at a time when companies need to innovate more than ever.
