Topical Authority: Being a Representative Source with Expertise for Better Rankings

Koray Tugberk Gubur launched a new YouTube video on Topical Authority.

Topical Authority consists of current coverage and historical data that provides more profound and better information for a topic.

Topical authority is a methodology used in search engine optimization to convince search engines that the website is the absolute authority and trustworthy with a high level of expertise and relevance on a topic.

Covering all entities, words, phrases, and attributes in a topic helps a website index faster and rank better.

In this video, Koray Tuğberk Gübür advises the SEO experts, who find it challenging to explain organic traffic decline to their customers, based on the examples of two websites he mentioned in his case studies.

Google Introduces New Options to Remove Your Personal Information from Search

Individuals can now request that their personal contact information be removed from Google's search results.

Google introduces new ways to remove personally identifiable information such as phone numbers and physical addresses from search results.

This update expands on an existing policy that allows people to request the removal of sensitive personal identification information such as bank accounts and credit card numbers.

You can now request Google to remove any information that could compromise your privacy or put you at risk of identity theft.

You need to fill out a request form to remove your personal information from Google. The form asks you to provide details about the type of information posted and answer a series of questions about why you want it removed.

Each request is evaluated against the criteria listed in the next section. The URL is removed from Google's search index if a request is approved.

You can find more information about the types of personally identifiable information you can ask Google to remove at the following Google reference page:

Google may remove personally identifiable information (PII) that has potential to create significant risks of identity theft, financial fraud, harmful direct contact, or other specific harms. This inc

EAT Concept Discussed in #Serpstat_Chat

The topic of this week's discussion of #serpstat_chat, which is held by Serpstat on Twitter every Thursday, was the concept of EAT.

In these discussions, the aim is to discuss a subject with an expert and have the expert answer the participants' questions in the debate. It creates a lovely interaction, and it is handy for you to learn the thoughts of different experts on the same subject. You can also follow past discussions by searching #serpstat_chat on Twitter. In this week's debate, E.A.T. was the main topic.

Next week, the good news is that I will be the expert guest of a #serpstat_chat themed “artificial intelligence and Google's approach to this issue” and answer questions from Serptat and other attendees. So I'm waiting for you all. You can get notifications by following Serpstat's Twitter account.

How to Analyze Duplicate Content at Enterprise Scale

Minimize duplicate content on enterprise-grade sites—dynamic, technical, and copy-based scaling strategies.

Duplicate Content can lead to poor SEO performance and prevent your search strategy from meeting specific goals.

It's also not helpful for searchers, as search engines like Google better identify other content as a response.

Duplicate content doesn't necessarily mean someone is stealing or copying your content without permission (but it's possible).

You may have resellers, affiliates, sister sites, or other sites that sell your products using your content at the enterprise level.

Sites that are part of the same corporate model or offer products or services from the same creator or producer may have the same content as yours.

Here are seven tips you can use in such situations, shared in the following article of Search Engine Journal:

Google Search Console URL Parameters Tool Has Been Removed

In March, Google announced that they would remove the URL Parameters tool from the Google Search Console.

Although Google forgot the URL parameters tool in the menus (!), it is removed from Google Search Console. As a result, when you try to access the report, you encounter the following warning:

Google's previous explanation on the subject includes recommendations on what to do to keep parameterized URLs under control:

In short: We're deprecating the URL Parameters tool in Search Console in 1 month. There's no action required from the current users of the tool.

The moral dilemmas it puts us in, the relationship of great technologies to social inequality, and the challenges democracies will face in the short and long term. So how do we fight all this?
